The Mormugao Port Trust Education Society is running Pre-primary/Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary schools in order to provide educational facilities to the children of Port employees and locals. The Constructions / maintenance work of schools, play grounds are being carried out by the Port administration. All the three schools are provided with biometric system and CCTVs. The section-wise strength of the school during the year 2015-16 is given under :

Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vocational Centre:
As a welfare measure for the benefit of the Port employees and their family members, the Vocational Centre conducts various courses by charging concessional fees. Following is the brief classification of the courses conducted.

The centre is open for non- port children for admission to all courses.
The hall attached to the centre is let on hire for wedding, parties etc. and Port functions at subsidized rates.
Port Employees' Consumer Co-operative Society:
The employees’ consumers co-operative society runs a self-service shopping unit at Headland to cater, day to day needs of the residents of Headland Port Colony. The credit facility is also available to the society members for buying grocery items. Occasionally exhibitions cum sales are also arranged by the society for the benefit of its clients wherein reputed manufacturer/dealers of various goods display their products. The member employees have also the option to buy the goods and pay on installment basis through salary deductions.
Port Officers Club.
The Port Officers Club is being run by a committee appointed by the port management. Annual Christmas and New Year functions are being held for the families. Also other activities are being conducted for the welfare of the port employees.
The officers Club has a indoor hall attached which is let on hire for wedding, parties etc. at subsidized rates for port employees and other rates for the general public. Also there is an outdoor area which is also let for functions and other activities.
Mormugao Port Institute
The Port Institute caters to the port employees where monthly contribution is deducted from the salary account. The activities undertaken is primarily the Christmas festival where gifts are distributed to the port employees children and fun games are held for all the employees and their children. Sport activities are also conducted for the port employees like football, carrom, billiards, snookers etc.

Port Guest House
The Port runs Guest Houses at Headland, Sada, Goa and Mumbai for accommodation to the port employees and other Government Officials when they go on official trips and other private visits. The rates are subsidized for the port employees and other rates for other officials.
